depended greatly on God for this round of exams.
prayed continuously for concentration, wisdom and energy.
prayed for the right motive to study too, which was for His glory, not for myself.

the final grade for research methods is up online.
i got a grade that really tested my sense of contentment.
got an A-, and guess how far am i away from an A?
0.1 mark.
ZERO POINT ONE.
and i lost one point in attendance because i took mc.
so if i stayed for that class and didnt skip it, i wld have gotten an A.

i know i shld be so very thankful for an A-,
and be contented w the grade God gave me.
so i shall keep praying =)

something utterly embarassing happened in church yest.
was chatting w XL and alvin,
when XL took out her purse with like a zillion really old neoprints pasted on it.
so being the bhb person that i am, i demanded that she stick my picture there too.
and she glanced thru the pictures on the purse, pointed to one and said: "isnt this you?"
and to my HORROR,
THAT STUPID NEOPRINT WAS TAKEN WHEN I WAS IN SEC ONE WITH TERRIBLE HAIR AND A HIDEOUS PAIR OF GLASSES.
and before i cld do anything, alvin snacthed the purse from XL and saw that horrendous picture and LAUGHED AND LAUGHED AND LAUGHED.
he laughed for 15 mins nonstop.
he laughed AT ME for 15 mins nonstop.
*faint*
wahahahaha.
okay la, it was really funny.
i was laughing madly too.

baked loads of cookies with mummy and ling in the afternoon. yum yum. ate a little bit of cookie dough and a lot of cookies.

the cleaning up was disgusting tho.

and i had to chop garlic for dinner.

i had to scrub my hands w soap like 3 times to get the stinky garlic smell out.

the monsters are back from the camp.
my sister stole my bed and made me sleep on the floor yest.
and her scary friend kaiqiu came over to haunt me.

was blow drying my hair the other day,
when my mum came out of the bathroom.
she wanted the hair dryer too,
and she said i was being really slow,
so she took the dryer from me and started drying and combing my hair for me.
it was like a moment that we shared.
neither of us spoke, we were just enjoying each other's presence.
its like gg back to primary school, being pampered and cared for.
i felt so loved. =)

i know i cant help growing up.
but i'll nv learn to love it.

i miss singing.
and the people i used to sing with.
singing isnt the same when it isnt w them.
it'll nv be the same again.

many people say choosing religions is like buying 4d.
the more you buy, the bigger the chance of winning.
the more gods you worship, the higher the chance of going to heaven/the more luck you'll have etc.

but i tell you,
choosing a religion is like doing a multiple choice question.
there can only one answer.
and only the stupidest person wld circle all 4 choices.

on a lighter note,
we celebrated fathers' day and matt's bday tog today =)
i only just realized that matt's bday lies on fathers' day.
and thats not good.
because the whole wide world will be eating out on his bday,
and it'll be so hard to get a table at a decent restaurant.
thats wat happened today.
we forgot to make an early reservation,
and when we remembered, its waaaay too late.
all the places we called were fully booked~!
but i prayed and God answered my prayer =)
we were wondering around at harbour front when we found a place to eat.
was deciding between coffee club (mudpie~! YUM!!) and noodle hut.
and (of cos) noodle hut won. (parents and mudpie dun really clique ver well)
we didnt even need a reservation to get in, because that place doesnt take reservations on special days like dads' day =)
so its first come first serve.
and we were pretty early because we left early, thinking we'll need tons of time looking for a place to dine.
heee. God is good.

had ramen and dim sum.
yummmmeeeee.
its a pretty place too, with classy oriental deco and a wonderful view.

love the lanterns especially. so pretty~!

the part abt alvin's irrational fear of sushi made me laugh.
thus,
i shall share it w my dear readers :)

but before reading it,
i must tell you that alvin hates sushi so much that he cant even bear to smell them.
and thus, he have nv ever been to sakae in his entire life.

so here goes...

"and alvin has this psychological fear of sushi and all japanese food....but he braved all storms and went in...drinking cup after cup of green tea.....and one piece of gyoza (fried dumpling)....haha

and he was UBER hilarious....
1. he thot the hot water tap dispenses green tea
2. he could smell sushi and wanted to puke even while in the queue when we smelt nothing....
3. he kept dropping the string attached to the tea bag into his drink
4. he didnt know we can take the plates off the conveyor belt

out w jiayi and faith after CSE yesterday.
needed to get pressies for dad (fathers' day) and matthew boy (his bday on 18th june~!).
and thank God, i got presents that im almost sure both of them will like.
got daddy a nike waist pouch and a set of lego blocks for matt~!
he loveeees lego, but the set at our place are for older kids and consists of really small blocks.
we let him play w it a couple of times and both times he tried to eat the lego mailbox and once he almost swallowed it.
my sister (matt's mum) was screaming like crazy when he did that.
scary.
so, im sure he wld love his gift =)
and my dad has always wanted a waist pouch.
thus...
im sure they'll both be happeeee.
and that makes me happeeeee.

the other day when i was still sick,
mum was listening to the radio.
(FM 102.3 = christian radio channel)
overheard the dj saying something like God lets bad things happen to me for a reason.
it'll always be a blessing in disguise.
so i started thinking about why He made me fall sick.
and praise God, He gave me the wisdom to realize,
i have been praying for a way to kick my habit of sleeping late.
and because of this sickness,
i've finally gotten out of that habit!
have been sleeping v early when i was sick because of the medicine (it makes me drowsy)
and now, even when im cured, my eyes will start getting really tired at like 10pm.
woooohoooo~
thank God =)
He is gooooood.

off to maintain my (new) habit of sleeping early =)
early lesson tml *ugh* and research methods midterm exam on monday *double ugh*
